INDIAN AGRO MARKETING CO- OPERATIVE LTD. (IAMCO) is A Multi- State Cooperative Society Registered under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 1984 now deemed to be registered under Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002 with Central Registrar, Govt. of India, and Deptt. Of Agriculture & Cooperation, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi. Having its office at 810, Best Sky Tower, F-5, Netaji Subhash Place, PITAMPURA, Delhi-110034.


The membership of the IAMCO is open to Agriculturists, Horticulturists, Farmers, Consumers, Professionals, Co –operative Societies & Institutions in addition to its business associates/ franchisee of the society. During the year under report, the society was having 161 members, 1556 as business associate members and 15 Cooperative Societies.
The IAMCO is a member/ shareholder of National Organizations like IFFCO and KRIBHCO.


IAMCO being a multi state co-operative society and can operate in any state of the country as per the provisions of the Act. At present, our business operations are spread over in the states of Haryana, Delhi, H.P., U.P., Punjab, U.K, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and M.P.


The objects and functions of the IAMCO shall be as under: -

a)     Objects: - The principle object of the Society will be to promote the interests of all its members to attain their social and economic betterment through self-help and mutual aid in accordance with the cooperative principles. The other objectives of the Society shall be to organize, promote and develop marketing, processing and storage of agricultural, horticultural and forest produce, distribution of agricultural machinery, implements and other inputs, undertake inter-state, intra-state, import and export trade wholesale of retail as the case may be and to act, give technical advice and assist the members in agricultural promotion.

b)    Functions: - In furtherance of these objectives, the Society may undertake one or more of the following activities: -

1.    To facilitate, co-ordinate and promote the marketing and trading activities of the Cooperative Institutions in agricultural and other commodities, articles and goods.

2.     To undertake or promote on its own or on behalf of its members or the Government organizations, inter-state, intra-state and other international trade and commerce and undertake, wherever necessary, sale, purchase, import export and distribution of agricultural commodities, horticultural and forest produce, other articles and goods from various sources for pursuing the business activities and to act as the agency for export, import and inter state trade of agricultural and other commodities and to facilitate these activities wherever necessary to open branches/ sub-offices and appoint agents at any place in India.

3.   To undertake purchase, sale and supply of agricultural products, marketing and processing requisites, such as manure, seeds, fertilizer, Animal Ration, cattle feed, agricultural implements, Dry fruits and machinery, packing material, construction requisites, processing machinery for agricultural commodities, forest produce, dairy, wool and other animal products, to act as warehouse man under the warehousing act. To acquire land; to own and construct its own Godown, cold storage take on lease / hire or give on lease / rent Godown, cold storages.

4.    To organize training, seminar and exhibitions to promote Cooperative education for the members, Directors and employees to the Society and for that purpose establish educational intuitions/ hostel by hiring or acquiring land / building / undertaking construction therefore.

5.   To act as agent of any Government Agency or cooperative institution, for the purchase, sale storage and distribution of agricultural, horticultural, forest and animal husbandry produce, wool, agricultural requisites and other consumer goods.

6.     To organize consultancy work in various fields and prepare project reports for the benefit of the members and other Cooperatives / institutions.

7.     To undertake manufacture of agricultural machinery and implements, processing, packing etc. and other production requisites and consumer articles by setting up manufacturing units either directly or in collaboration with or as a joint venture with other agency, including import and distribution of spare parts and components for up-keep of the machinery-implements/Agriculture inputs.

8.     To set up storage units for storing various commodities and goods, by itself or in collaboration with any other agency in India or abroad.

9.     To maintain transport units of its own or in collaboration with any other organization in India or abroad for movement of goods on land, sea, air, etc.

10.   To acquire and take on lease or hire vehicles and to sell, give on lease or hire them for the business of the Society.

11.   To collaborate with any international agency or a foreign body for development of cooperative marketing, processing and other activities for mutual advantage in India or abroad.

12.   To undertake marketing research and dissemination of market intelligence.

13.   To subscribe to the share capital of other cooperative institutions as well as other public, joint and private sector enterprises if and when considered necessary for fulfilling the objectives of the society.

14.   To establish units for processing of agriculture, horticultural inputs and produce and other articles such as cattle feed, insecticides, pesticides, Zinc, Bio-fertilizer, seeds etc.

15.   To undertake grading, packing and standardization of agricultural produce and other articles.

16.   To advance loans to its members and other Cooperative institutions on the security of goods or otherwise.

17.   To guarantee loans / advances and give undertaking to any Society or Company in which the Society has a share holding or financial involvement as a promoter to be able to assist its development or expansion or for starting any industrial undertaking by such Societies / Companies and also to guarantee loans / advance or give undertaking on behalf of any such Society or Company as mentioned above to any financing institutions.

18.   To act as an agent of insurance companies for the benefit of its members.
19.   To do all such things or undertake such other business or activities as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of any all of the above objects.

The Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the society. He is assisted by two Executive Directors and other supporting staff. The organizational structure is as under: -
